Laser hair removal is a very popular cosmetic treatment that utilizes a laser beam to permanently remove unwanted hair from the body. Its popularity has grown significantly over the years, due to its safety, convenience, and effectiveness in providing long-lasting hair removal results. At our studio, we are equipped with the market leading machine, Candela Gentle Max Pro Plus Series. This machine allows for a more comfortable experience, due to its built in cooling system. It can also be used on all skin types. With such a high tech machine, we can ensure you’ll be saying goodbye to shaving and unwanted hair in no time.
Laser hair removal operates through a mechanism known as selective photo thermolysis. In this process, the laser is set to a specific wavelength depending on the clients needs. This allows the beam to target the melanin in the hair and therefore destroy the papilla in the hair (what makes the hair regrow). Our laser machine ensures that the surrounding skin and tissue remain unharmed. As a result, after just two sessions, hair regrowth becomes slower and the new hair that does grow back tends to be finer. Ultimately leaving the client with smooth skin and next to no hair left by the end of the process.

Laser hair removal is generally a very effective long-term hair reduction method. Although at times it could not be permanent. While it significantly reduces and delays hair regrowth, some hair may eventually grow back, typically appearing lighter and finer. This usually only happens when a client goes through a hormonal imbalance of some sort (pregnancy, menopause etc.) This can be fixed with either Electrolysis or a few more sessions for maintenance later on.
Laser hair removal is generally not considered to be highly painful, though it may cause temporary discomfort. Many patients describe the sensation as similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Certain areas, such as the bikini line, may be more sensitive, but the overall discomfort is typically manageable. Our machine is equipped with a cooling system which alleviates any discomfort during the procedure. Should the client experience too much pain, the parameters on the machine can be set to a different scale.
